Understanding Communications
What it's for
Communications is where you reach your whole center — parents, staff, or specific groups — with announcements and messages. It also keeps a record of everything you've sent and how many people have read it.
Where to find it
Communications (under Daily Operations).
How the pieces fit together
- Send Communication — the button at the top opens the compose screen where you
write and send an announcement.
- Announcements tab — a searchable history of everything you've sent, with each
item's date, status, audience and read count.
- Templates tab — reusable message templates so you don't rewrite the same message
every time.
- Stat cards — a quick snapshot: Announcements this month, Messages delivered
all-time, Templates available and Sent Today.
Reading an announcement in the list
Each row shows:
- the subject,
- the date it was sent,
- its status — Delivered or Draft,
- its audience — for example All Parents, All Staff, All Students, a Targeted Group,
or a Specific Recipient,
- a read count, such as "1/3 read".
Tips & limits
- Use the search box to find an announcement by parent name, student or content.
- A Draft is saved but not yet sent — open it to finish and send.
- Set up templates first if you send the same kinds of messages regularly.
