How to run and export a report
What it's for
Most reports work the same way: pick the report, narrow it with filters, switch between a summary and the detail, then export it. This article walks through those shared steps using Daily Attendance as the example.
Where to find it
Reports (under Administration), then choose a report from the left sidebar.
Step-by-step
- Open Reports and click a report in the sidebar (for example, **Daily
Attendance**).
- Set the date range using the From and To boxes.
- Narrow it further with the Location and Classroom filters. The record count
updates as you filter.
- Switch between Summary and Detail:
- Summary — totals, rates and charts (for Daily Attendance: Total Records,
Present, Absent, Late, Attendance Rate, plus a status breakdown by classroom).
- Detail — the underlying rows.
- Click Export CSV to download the data for spreadsheets or your records.
Tips & limits
- The exact filters and columns vary by report, but the pattern — **date range +
filters + Summary/Detail + Export CSV** — is the same across them.
- The two dashboards (Operations and Financial) are live overviews rather than
date-range reports, so they don't all share these controls.
- Export before changing filters if you want to keep a snapshot of a specific range.
