How to build a child's portfolio
What it's for
A portfolio is a collection of a child's work, photos and milestone moments over time. It's a lovely way to show families the journey their child has taken at your center.
Where to find it
Portfolio (under Learning and Development)
The Portfolio page shows a card for every child, each with a count of their milestones, notes and photos, and when it was last updated.
Step-by-step
- Go to Portfolio.
- Use the search or classroom filters to find a child, then click their card to
open their portfolio.
- To add to a portfolio, click Add Observation and record what you noticed — it's
the same observation flow, and it becomes part of that child's portfolio.
- Open a child's card any time to see their milestones, notes and photos as a story
over time.
Tips & limits
- Portfolio is a premium feature within Learning and Development.
- A portfolio is built from the observations and milestones you record, so the
more you capture, the richer it becomes.
- The stat cards at the top (Total Entries, Milestones, Photos, Children) show your
whole group at a glance.
- Portfolios are a great thing to share with families at review points or when a child
moves on.
