How to mark child attendance
What it's for
Marking attendance records who's at your center each day. It keeps your classroom ratios accurate, gives you a clear count of who's present, and creates a record you can report on later.
Where to find it
Attendance → Student
Step-by-step
- Go to Attendance (Student). The page shows today's date — use the arrows to move
to a different day.
- Find the child in the list. Each child starts as Not Arrived.
- When they arrive, click Check In. Set the check-in time, record their
temperature and any wellness screening flags (fever, cough, rash and so on), choose who dropped them off, and add notes if needed.
- When they leave, click Check Out.
- If a child won't be in, click Absent, or Apply Leave to log a planned
absence.
Tips & limits
- Use the classroom filter and search to find children quickly in a busy list.
- The stat cards (Checked In, Checked Out, Absent, Not Arrived) and the **Check-In
Rate** give you an at-a-glance picture of the day.
- Families can also check their child in themselves at the check-in kiosk — that's
set up in Settings.
