Welcome to Skooly Preschool — where to begin

What it's for

Welcome to Skooly! This guide gets your preschool or childcare center up and running. If you're setting up for the first time, work through the articles below in order — each one builds on the last, taking you from an empty account to a fully operational center with your classrooms, children, staff and families all set up.

Where to find it

Everything below lives in your admin portal. Sign in first, then most setup happens under Settings, Classrooms, Children and Staff.

The recommended setup order

1. Sign in to your account — access your admin portal for the first time.
2. Set up your center profile — your name, contact details, timezone and hours.
3. Customize your branding — add your logo and colors so Skooly looks like your center.
4. Set up your locations — if you run from more than one center or branch.
5. Create a classroom — set up your rooms with capacity and age groups.
6. Add a child — start building your roster.
7. Add a staff member — add your educators and admins.
8. Invite parents and staff — give families and staff access to their portal.

You don't have to do everything at once. The essentials to get going are your center profile, at least one classroom, and your children — you can refine branding, locations and the rest whenever you're ready.

• A few settings apply everywhere once set — your currency and timezone

(in your center profile) affect billing, scheduling and reports — so it's worth getting those right early.

• Need waivers or consent forms signed? Setting up legal agreements is covered in
