How to manage roles and permissions
What it's for
Roles and permissions control what each staff member can see and do. A role (for example Admin, Instructor, or Front Desk) is a set of permissions; you assign a role to each staff member so they get exactly the access they need — no more, no less.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Roles & Permissions.
Step-by-step
- Go to Settings → Roles & Permissions.
- Under Select Role, choose a role — for example Owner, Admin, Instructor, Front Desk, Finance, or Academic Head.
- In the Module Permissions grid, set what that role can do for each module — None, View, Edit, or Full access.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
- Assign the right role to each staff member (in People → Staff) so they have the correct access.
Tips & limits
- Give each person the least access they need to do their job — it keeps sensitive areas (like finance) protected.
- The Owner role has full access to everything and can't be modified.
- Changing a role's permissions affects everyone assigned to it.
- Staff are added in People → Staff; here you control what their role allows.
