How to convert a lead into a student

What it's for

When a lead is ready to join, you convert them into a student. This creates a student record from the lead's details so you can enrol them in classes and start billing — no need to retype everything. You can convert one lead at a time, or several at once.

Where to find it

Go to Growth → Leads. Each lead card has a Convert to Student button.

Convert a single lead

1. Go to Growth → Leads.
2. Find the lead and click Convert to Student.
3. A Convert Leads to Students dialog opens, explaining that each lead becomes a new student record and its status is set to Converted.

1. If any required student details are missing (for example date of birth or gender), you're prompted to complete them in the next step. Fill them in.
2. Confirm to finish. The lead's status becomes Converted, and a new student record is created.

Convert several leads at once

1. On the Leads list, select the leads you want to convert (tick their checkboxes).
2. Choose Convert to Students from the actions.
3. Complete any missing details and confirm to convert them all.

What happens next

The converted lead is now a student in People. From there you enrol them in a class and take payment — see the Booking & Enrollment and Billing & Payments sections.

Tips & limits

• Convert only leads that are genuinely joining — converting creates a real student record.
• A lead that's already Converted can't be converted again.
• Converting doesn't enrol the student in a class or collect payment on its own; do those next in Booking & Enrollment.
