Understanding Growth
What it's for
Growth is where you manage everyone who's interested in joining your academy but isn't a student yet. Each enquiry is a lead — a prospective student and their family. You track leads through a simple pipeline, follow up, and convert the ones who are ready into enrolled students. Lead capture forms let you collect enquiries automatically from your website.
Where to find it
Open Growth from the main menu. It has two areas: Leads and Forms.
Leads and the pipeline
Every lead has a status that shows where they are in your pipeline:
- New — a fresh enquiry you haven't worked yet.
- Contacted — you've reached out.
- Qualified — a good fit who's likely to enrol.
- Converted — became an enrolled student.
- Lost — didn't go ahead.
You can also set a priority (low, medium, high, urgent) and record where each lead came from (its source — website, referral, walk-in, an event, a lead form, and more).
How leads get in
Leads reach your pipeline two ways:
- You add them — record an enquiry that came in by phone, email, or in person (see *How to add a lead*).
- A form collects them — publish a lead capture form on your website, and every submission becomes a new lead automatically (see *How to create a lead capture form*).
The typical flow
- A lead comes in (added by you or via a form).
- You follow up and update its status as you go (*How to manage leads and update their status*).
- When they're ready, you convert the lead into a student (*How to convert a lead into a student*).
Tips & limits
- Converting a lead creates a student record from the lead's details — see *How to convert a lead into a student*.
- Growth is about *prospective* students; once converted, you manage them like any other student in People and Booking & Enrollment.
