Understanding classes and scheduling
What it's for
Before students can book, your classes need to exist on the calendar with real dates and times. This section is about setting up and managing that schedule — it sits between your catalog and booking.
How it fits together
- Catalog defines *what* you offer (programs, packages).
- Classes & Scheduling turns a program into actual sessions on the calendar — you create a class with recurring days, times and an instructor, which generates the individual sessions.
- Booking places students into those sessions.
- Attendance records who showed up.
So a group program isn't bookable until you've scheduled its class. That's what this section covers.
Key ideas
- Class template — the recurring pattern (e.g. "Mon/Wed/Fri, 4–5pm, with Coach Lee"). Creating a template generates the sessions.
- Session (instance) — a single occurrence of the class on a given date. You can edit or cancel one session without changing the whole series.
- Calendar — where all sessions appear; view by week, month, day or list, and reschedule by dragging.
- Roster — the list of students enrolled in a class.
