How to sell a package and book against it
What it's for
This is the core prepaid flow: a student buys a package (a session pack, for example), which gives them credits — then you book sessions by redeeming those credits. Buy first, book against it.
The two steps: purchase, then book
Packages are prepaid, so there are two steps — first sell the package (which gives the student credits), then book sessions that draw from those credits.
Step 1 — Sell the package (Purchase Package)
- Open Quick Actions (the button in the top bar, or press ⌘K) and choose Purchase Package.
- Select the student, then the package to sell.
- Review the details (sessions, validity, price) and choose the payment method (Pay in Full, Installments, or Recurring, per the package).
- Confirm and take payment. The student now holds package credits.
Step 2 — Book against the credits
Once the student has credits, book sessions in the normal Book a Session wizard (Schedule → Classes → Enroll):
- Program and Student — choose the program and the student who holds credits.
- Options — because the student has credits, you can book using them (no new payment). The booking consumes a credit.
- Sessions — pick the session(s); each booking uses one credit.
- Confirm — complete. The credits cover it.
The Options step reminds you of this: *"Need a package or bulk sessions? Use Quick Actions → Purchase Package to buy session packs, then come back to book."*
Tips & limits
- Purchase first, then book — you buy the package via Quick Actions, then redeem its credits in the booking wizard.
- A student can hold multiple packages; each booking draws from their available credits.
- Packages (and their prices/payment methods) are defined in Catalog → Packages & Plans.
- When credits run out, sell another package or book a drop-in.
