Enable or Disable Checkin class button for Parents / Students

This article explains how to enable or disable the Allow parent and student to check-in class setting in Skooly.

How to Navigate to This Setting

1. Log in to the Skooly Admin Web Portal.

2. From the left-hand menu, click School Setup.

3. Select Settings.

4. Scroll down to Scheduling & Bookings Settings.

5. Locate Allow parent and student to check-in class.

What Does This Setting Do?

When this setting is enabled, parents and students can check-in to a scheduled class from their app or portal.

When this setting is disabled, only admins or teachers can manage class check-in.

 

How to Enable or Disable the Setting

• Toggle ON → Parents and students can check in to classes.

• Toggle OFF → Parents and students cannot check in; check-in is restricted to staff.

When Should You Enable This?

Enable this setting if:

• You want parents or students to mark attendance themselves

• You allow self check-in for online or offline classes

• You want faster attendance tracking without staff involvement
